Parker helped guide the Huskies to playoff appearances in all three years including the Hockey East finals and Semifinals the past two seasons. Prior to joining the Huskies, she coached two seasons as an assistant at Brown University.<br />Before becoming a collegiate coach, Parker was a member of the Colgate Raiders women's hockey team, where she served as the team's captain. As a forward, she played in 141 games over her career, the most in program history. Parker was a four-time recipient of the Sportsmanship Award, given to person that represents the true meaning of "team". As states begin to open, we look forward to the day we are all back on the ice!<br /><br />With the current situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken a hard look at how we will be delivering USA Hockey&rsquo;s Coaching Education Program, realizing the possibility that in person clinics this season may be different&nbsp;based upon social gathering criteria set by each state.<br /><br />That being said, we are excited to be moving forward with online virtual clinics starting immediately. The U12 Dev team had a great time at the Langley tournament.&nbsp; Our performance on the ice was impressive, going 3-0-1 in prelim games and then winning the next two games to win the tournament.&nbsp; While we were successful on the scoreboard, we were more successful in spreading the joy of the sport. We defeated Abbottsford and Langley 8-0 and 12-1 respectively.&nbsp; Despite these defeats both teams congratulated&nbsp;our girls on their sportsmanship and kind words of support.&nbsp; Returning the gift of support, both teams showed up for the championship game to cheer&nbsp;for the Rose City Royals. We went 1-2 in group play, fighting hard in each game but losing 4-3 to both Cowichan and the host team, Langley. With only ten skaters, we pushed through a short bench and tired legs to defeat Cowichan in the the Semifinals and play Langley again, for the Championship. We defeated the host team 5-0 in the final, winning every shift.
