Spring & Summer Youth Hockey
The Oregon State Hockey Association supports opportunities for youth athletes to continue developing their skills and passion for the game beyond the traditional season. Once the USA Hockey season and events have concluded, many players seek additional ice time and competitive experiences during the spring and summer months. Independent spring and summer hockey programs can provide valuable development opportunities for athletes who wish to continue playing.
While OSHA does not operate, manage, or formally affiliate with these spring and summer programs, the association recognizes that they can serve as positive alternatives for families looking to extend their players’ development. Participation in these programs allows athletes to remain engaged with the sport, continue building skills, and enjoy the game in a different seasonal environment.
OSHA’s role remains focused on supporting the sanctioned youth hockey season and the long term growth of the sport across Oregon.
At the same time, the association encourages families to explore spring and summer opportunities that align with their player’s goals, development needs, and enjoyment of the game.

One opportunity being organized is participation in a competitive tournament in Vancouver, British Columbia, scheduled for April 24–26. The event features a five game guarantee with the potential for a sixth game depending on results.
