Make a difference and help support youth hockey in Oregon
There are so many ways to be involved with youth hockey - even if you don't now or have never played! The following list is a short sample of how you can help:

- Become a Coach *
- Become an Official *
- Join your local association board of directors *
- Join a local committee for things like tournaments, fundraising, etc.
- Serve as a chair or be on a committee at the state (affiliate) level *
- Coordinate other volunteers within your association
- Monitor locker rooms *
- Be a team manager *
- Be a penalty box attendant
- Learn how to keep score and/or run the game clock
- Keep stats for your team's games
- Research accommodation options for team travel
- Coordinate team snacks after games
- Organize a team meal when away at a tournament
- Manage team and/or association equipment
- Organize and manage uniforms
- Organize picture night
- Be the team's photographer or game videographer
- Write content and post pictures for your local association's social media accounts
- Spread the word about your local association's hockey program
- Do media outreach for your local association's accomplishments and news
- And so many more... the list is endless!
*Requires registration with USA Hockey and completion of a background check and Safe Sport training.
USA Hockey Requirements
- Register as a volunteer member of USA Hockey (no cost).
- Complete the background screening ($30 fee).
- Complete the USA Hockey Safe Sport Training (no cost). **
**Safe Sport training expires after 12 calendar months; renewal must be completed on/before your expiration date no matter where that falls during the season.
