Player Development Camps

What is the Oregon State Hockey Player Development Camp?
The Oregon State Hockey Player Development Camp focuses on skill-building and player growth. All players within the designated birth years are invited to attend. The camp is held annually in late winter.
Throughout the camp, players take part in a mix of dryland training, on-ice drills, and small-area games. Certified evaluators assess all participants and identify eligible players for advancement to the USA Hockey Pacific District and Regional Development Camps.
Players who will turn 14, 15, 16, or 17 during the upcoming USA Hockey calendar year are eligible for advancement. Players who will turn 13 in the upcoming season are encouraged to participate for development purposes but will not be eligible for advancement until the following year.

Development Camp Dates
Both the Youth and Girls Development Camps will be held on the following dates:
Dates:  February 6-8, 2026
Location:  The Rink Exchange, 796 W 13th Ave, Eugene, OR 97402

Player Eligibility
  • USA citizen players—boys and girls—who fall within the 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, and 17U birth years are eligible to participate.
    • Boys:  2009 (Select 17), 2010 (Select 16), 2011 (Select 15), 2012 (Select 14), 2013 (Select 13)
    • Girls:  2009 (Select 17), 2010 (Select 16), 2011 (Select 15), 2012(Select 14), 2013 (Select 13)

This is a development and experience based opportunity.  No players
in this birth year will be selected for advancement.
  • All players must be registered with USA Hockey for the current season.

Residency Requirements
Eligible candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Be an Oregon resident playing in Oregon, or
  • Be an Oregon resident playing in a different USA Hockey district (outside of the Pacific District).

Youth Requirements
Oregon residents playing in another state within the Pacific District (Alaska, Nevada, Washington, California or Hawaii), must attend the camp of the state or affiliate where they are currently playing, not the Oregon camp.

Girls Requirements
Oregon residents playing in another state within the Pacific District (Alaska, Nevada, Washington, California or Hawaii), are required to attend the Oregon camp, their home-state camp.

Additional Note
USA citizens playing in Canada may participate at the discretion of the Oregon State Camp Director.

Camp Personnel
The Development Camp is led by a primary committee consisting of the Player Development Director & Team Oregon Co-Chair, the Oregon Girls Development Coordinator, and the Oregon Goalie Development Coordinator. In addition, representatives from each OSHA association will be invited to participate in the evaluation process. The camp may also include guest evaluators from the District and National levels to support player assessment and development.

Player Selection & Advancement
To be eligible for advancement, all players are required to register for camp, (no exceptions).
Important: Players competing within Oregon must attend camp. Those who do not attend will not be considered for advancement.

Oregon residents who are competing outside the state and are unable to attend camp may submit a petition form for advancement consideration.
Please complete camp registration first, then submit the petition form.
All petition requests must be received by January 18th, 2026.
